At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

analyze recent literature and practice guidelines for complex pulmonary syndrome antibiotic durations (including empyema);
analyze recent literature and practice guidelines for urinary tract infection antibiotic durations, including in transplant recipients;
analyze recent literature and practice guidelines for invasive candidiasis treatment durations;
analyze recent data and practice guidelines by syndromes where shorter courses of antimicrobials may be appropriate and where longer regimens maybe preferred.
