There was a post session discussion about a potential finding of disparate temperatures in African Americans in one study. In the original study, they concluded that there was a trend to lower temperatures in African American Americans, but the P value was not significant. Viewers should not conclude that African Americans have been shown to have lower temperatures.

describe the definitions and clinical approaches to fever of unknown origin in adults and children;
describe the consensus guideline for the appropriate use criteria (auc) of nuclear medicine for adults and children with fuo published by the society of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging (snmmi);
describe challenges during the clinical and radiologic evaluation of fuo and the implications of use of 18-fdg pet/ct for clinical practice.
