Jesse Blumenstock is a Clinical Research Manager at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where he leads clinical observational and comparative effectiveness research focused on infections and outcomes in immunocompromised children. In his role, Jesse has overseen the management of a large multicenter cohort study describing outcomes of Human Adenovirus infection in pediatric allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplant recipients and spearheaded the establishment of the Microbiome of Immunocompromised Children Research Organization (MICRO) at CHOP. This pioneering, cross-disciplinary program investigates the microbiome's impact on the health outcomes of children undergoing hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) and cancer treatment, generating critical data to inform future research. Jesse previously managed studies on the prevalence and outcomes of food allergies and asthma and developed innovative community-level and clinical interventions to improve asthma management in pediatric populations. In 2025, Jesse will begin a master’s program in Physician Assistant Studies, aspiring to become an advanced practice clinician.
