The BugHub is the heart of IDWeek! We are creating a central space where attendees can gather, network, and take advantage of different IDWeek and partner society opportunities. Learn more about what's in the BugHub below. The BugHub can be found in the South Lobby of the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC). Need a question answered? Speaker Ready Room (WEST LOBBY)
All speakers should check into the Speaker Ready Room to upload their final slides and do a final check of their presentation. Speakers using polling must go to the Speaker Ready Room at least 12 hours before their session.

Speaker Ready Room hours are: 
Monday, Oct. 14: 2-6 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 15: 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 16: 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 17: 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 18: 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 19: 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. 

 
NextGen ID Lounge:  
A home for medical students, residents and fellows 
 
Located in the Hall K Lobby of the Los Angeles Convention Center, the NextGen ID Lounge is a space dedicated to medical students, residents and fellows. Come meet and network with peers over coffee or grab some friends to enjoy some downtime playing a game. 
 
In addition to providing an opportunity to grow your network each day, the NextGen ID Lounge features MedTalks, a unique opportunity for you to interact with experts in the field of ID. These sessions are useful for early career individuals to learn more about career paths and development in ID. 

The NextGen ID Lounge is also the home to the IDBugCrawl an IDWeek program designed for medical students and residents. To learn more about the IDBugCrawl click here.
 
The lounge will be open during IDWeek and will be limited to medical students, residents, and fellows.

BugHub Stage and Global BugHub Stage 

At the BugHub Stage, you'll hear engaging presentations that highlight the profound experiences of working in infectious diseases, providing insights into the challenges and triumphs that lead to better patient care and understanding. 

The Global BugHub Stage extends this conversation to a global scale. These presentations explore the broader impact of infectious disease work, including cultural, social, and personal dimensions.

IDWeek TV  
IDWeek 2024 is back and in Los Angeles bringing together our ID community. IDWeek TV is again on-site, taking you beyond the meeting. Learn more about IDWeek TV here!  



IDSA/HIVMA Advocacy Pod  
Come visit the Advocacy Pod to learn about IDSA and HIVMA’s policy and advocacy work and how to get involved! IDSA and HIVMA public policy and government relations staff will be on hand to talk to attendees about federal policy priorities, including ID workforce, AMR, funding for public health and research and more. Learn about joining our Member Advocacy Program and how to make your voice heard and affect change for the ID community and your patients. Grab some fun swag while also taking action on ID/HIV policy priorities!

Whether you’re a digital guru or need some assistance, stop by the Digital Communications Corner to check out IDSA’s digital offerings. Whether you need to know about our amazing FREE practice guidelines app (that also works offline!) or want to subscribe to our informative newsletters or follow us on our latest social media channels, we’re here to help. We’re located in the BugHub across from the Info Desk in the South Tower Lobby. Everyone who stops by will also get a prize!

IDSA Foundation Lounge 
 All attendees are invited to the IDSA Foundation Lounge for connecting, recharging, and learning how your donations support the mission of IDSA. Whether you need a moment of mindfulness, a comfy sofa to sink into, or a place to eat lunch, we have a seat for you. On Thursday and Friday starting at 1 p.m. a photographer will be available for updated headshots.

PIDS Foundation Lounge  
The PIDS Foundation Lounge is THE spot in LA. Have your people call our people and we'll see you at the hottest getaway in the Los Angeles Convention Center offering PIDS members, trainees, and invited guests a space to unwind, catch up with colleagues, and enjoy some downtime. We’ll host occasional meet-ups and special activities throughout the conference, and PIDS members will receive daily updates via email. Drop by and see what’s happening – we can’t wait to welcome you!”
