Muhammad Salman Ashraf, MBBS is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine, at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE. He serves as the medical director for Nebraska DHHS healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial resistance (HAI/AR) program. He is a member of Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America Long-Term Care Special Interest Group and Infection Advisory Sub-Committee of AMDA-The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. Over the last 10 years, he has contributed in development of various national and local infection prevention and control (IPC) and Antimicrobial Stewardship (AS) guidance specific to post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) settings. Dr. Ashraf is currenty working on multiple projects focused on strengthening IPC and AS programs in Nebraska PALTC settings.
