Wesley D. Kufel, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCIDP, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Binghamton University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (BUSOPPS) in Binghamton, NY. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine at the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University and Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases at SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY. He provides didactic and experiential education for pharmacy students in the area of infectious diseases. He is an ID consult pharmacist and provides clinical services for the infectious diseases consultation teams, and serves as a preceptor for the PGY2 Infectious Diseases and PGY1 Pharmacy Residency programs at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He provides interprofessional infectious disease education to medical students, medical residents and infectious disease fellows. He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed papers and received funding through multiple extramural grants in the area of infectious diseases. He is active in IDSA serving as an IDWeek abstract reviewer and mentor for the IDWeek Mentorship Program.
