Francesco Borriello, MD PhD is Associate Director, Clinical Development at Generate Biomedicines and joined the company in July 2021.

Francesco obtained his Medical Degree in 2011, completed a fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology in 2017 and received a PhD in Immunology in 2020. From 2016 to 2021 Francesco was Research Fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where he led research projects on the immunological basis of vaccines and cancer immunotherapy. His research has been published in major scientific journals, including Cell, Cell reports, Science Translational Medicine.

Since he joined Generate Biomedicines, Francesco has led multiple programs across Infectious Diseases and Immunology, and most recently he has become Medical Monitor on clinical-stage programs.
