Katherine Fleming-Dutra, MD, is the deputy director of the Office of Antibiotic Stewardship in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Within the Office of Antibiotic Stewardship, Dr. Fleming-Dutra leads the outpatient antibiotic stewardship section, and her work focuses on measuring outpatient antibiotic use and implementation of antibiotic stewardship in outpatient settings in the United States with a focus on changing provider and patient behavior. Dr. Fleming-Dutra is also practices as a pediatrician in the emergency department at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
