Dr. Irene Kuo is an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Epidemioogy at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health. She has nearly two decades of experience conducting epidemiologic research on opiate use disorder (OUD) and substance use, HIV and HCV in highly vulnerable populations including people who inject drugs, high-risk heterosexual men and women, and men who have sex with men (MSM). She is currently the site principal investigator for the HPTN 094, which examines the provision of integrated care for OUD, HIV care and prevention (PrEP), HCV care, and primary care to people who inject drugs in a mobile unit setting.
