CAPT Grube joined the FDA in February 2023 as CFSAN’s Chief Medical Officer. Prior to FDA, he served on the National Security Council as the Director for Countering Biological Threats and at the National Intelligence Council in the Strategic Futures Group. Most of his career has been at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a medical epidemiologist leading event-based surveillance of pathogens of national security concern. Prior to joining CDC as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer, he obtained his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his General Pediatrics residency and Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship at Childrens Medical Center Dallas.
