Dr. Rebecca Burns is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and faculty member in the Division of Infectious Diseases specializing in Transplant Infectious Diseases at Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Burns is a graduate of Rush Medical College and subsequently completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Boston Medical Center where she participated in the HIV pathway. Dr. Burns completed her Infectious Diseases fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where her clinical and academic focus was in transplant and immunocompromised hosts. Her research focuses on outcomes in persons with HIV undergoing organ transplantation.
