Dr. Karl Evans Henson is a Filipino internist specializing in infectious diseases. He graduated cum laude from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila and went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at The Medical City, Philippines. He then pursued a 2-year fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at Wayne State University – Detroit Medical Center, Michigan, USA. At present, Karl is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Division of Infectious Diseases, University of the Philippines Manila College of Medicine. He is an active member of the medical staff at The Medical City where he serves as Training Officer of the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program and Director of the Department of Advanced Medical Education. Karl is a Fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians, the Philippine Society for Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, where he sits as a member of the Board of Directors, and a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
