Assistant Professor in Infectious Diseases, Hospital Epidemiologist
West Virginia University
Morgantown, WV, United States
I am currently the Hospital Epidemiologist for Ruby Memorial Hospital, the flagship hospital of the West Virginia University Health System. I was Chief Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Infectious Diseases (ID) Fellowship and a Leaders in Epidemiology, Antimicrobial Stewardship and Public Health (LEAP) Fellow, sponsored by IDSA, SHEA, PIDS and CDC. I grew up in southern West Virginia and completed Medical School and Internal Medicine Residency at West Virginia University (WVU) in Morgantown, WV.
I plan to use my LEAP fellowship, ID fellowship, and public health experience to improve the management, evaluation, and leadership of infection prevention practices within my home state of West Virginia. My career goals are to become a leader in antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention while providing excellent patient care and championing medical education.
