Whitney Buckel, PharmD, BCIDP is the System Antimicrobial Stewardship Manager at Intermountain Health, a 32-hospital health system across 6 states in the Intermountain West. She has co-led pioneering work in health-system stewardship that includes small and rural hospitals and outpatient stewardship, including collaborative work with Pew Charitable Trusts to better describe health-system level stewardship and its powerful potential to improve patient care. Dr. Buckel has previously served as the Antimicrobial Stewardship Track Chair for The Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America Spring Meeting and Vice Chair on the Board of Pharmacy Specialties Specialty Council on Infectious Diseases and is currently Board Member at Large for the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing and snowboarding, and spending time with her family.
