Dr. Saman Nematollahi is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and the associate program director of the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program. He graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. He completed internal medicine residency training at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, then finished his infectious diseeases fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, with an emphasis on transplant infectious diseases. He also completed a master of education in the health professions degree through Johns Hopkins University School of Education. He is the co-chair of the American Society of Transplantation ID Community of Practice Education Workgroup and on the executive committee for the Infectious Diseases Digital Institute. His research and education interests includes diagnostic reasoning, curriculum development, and studying the impact of social media education.
