Baltimore, MD, United States
I am an assistant Professor of Medicine at John Hopkins University, focused on infections in hematologic malignancies, stem cell transplant and CAR T-cell therapy recipients. My research interest includes CMV and other viral infections in immunocompromised hosts, and use of Viral Specific T cells for treatment. I have a strong interest in prevention of COVID-19 and treatment of protracted infections in patient with hematologic malignancies, and recipients of CAR T cell therapy and stem cell transplant. I am the lead author for the COVID-19 guidelines for the American Society of Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT) and I am now leading a large retrospective multi-center review to better define this entity. I am also part of the panel developing guidelines for infection prevention and treatment after CAR T cell therapy for the ASTCT.
