Jason Newland, MD MEd FPIDS is a Professor of Pediatrics and the Henry Cramblett Chair in Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University College of Medicine. His current research spotlights the use of antimicrobials, the impact of an antimicrobial stewardship programs at children’s hospital, and the best implementation and deimplementation strategies for antimicrobial stewardship and vaccine uptake. He is a co-founder of the Sharing Antimicrobial Reports for Pediatric Stewardship (SHARPS) Collaborative for improving antimicrobial use in children that is comprised of over 70 Children’s Hospitals in the United States. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the US Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria.
