Dr. Carlota Gudiol is Head of the Infectious Diseases Department at the Bellvitge University Hospital, in Barcelona, Spain. She is a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona. Her clinical and research work focuses on infectious complications in patients with cancer and hematopoietic stem cell transplants, and especially on the impact of antibiotic resistance in this population. She has published more than 130 articles indexed in PubMed, and has led various national and international studies on antibiotic resistance in cancer patients. She has been invited as a speaker at several international conferences.
