Dr Jaime Belmares completed Medical School in Faculty of Medicine of The Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He finished an Internal Medicine Residency at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, TX through Austin Medical Education Programs, and then an Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Loyola University Chicago Medical Center, in Maywood, IL
He completed a Master's of Public Health Degree through the University of Liverpool Online Programs and served 6 years as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Division of Infectious Diseases of the Loyola University Chicago School of Medicine
He currently is a partner at Metro Infectious Diseases Consultants in Burr Ridge, IL, and serves as the Medical Director of Infection Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship at the Loyola MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL. where he is also the coordinator for the ID rotation of their Internal Medicine Program.
He is also a Fellow of our Infectious Diseases Society of America, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a member of the Society of Health Epidemiology of America, and the American Medical Association.
