I am currently a Professor Emeritus of Medicine and Immunolobiology at the University of Arizona with clinical appointments at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Medical Center and am a consultant to the Arizona Department of Health Services. I am currently past-president of the Coccidioidomycosis Study Group. My clinical focus is on medical mycology, particularly coccidioidomycosis. My research has been been directed at understanding the human immune response to coccidioidomycosis but has also been on epidemiology, clinical expression, and treatment of this infection.
