I’m a Pediatric Transplant Infectious Diseases faculty at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital (St Jude) in Memphis, Tennessee. Originally from Argentina, I completed my medical training at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, where I also worked as a teaching instructor before beginning my Pediatric residency at Hospital “Sor Maria Ludovica” in La Plata. After completing my clinical training, I obtained a Master on Clinical Effectiveness at University of Buenos Aires, and a Fellowship in Epidemiology and Public Health at Institute for the Development and Pediatric research in La Plata. In 2011, I joined the Vaccine Center at Vanderbilt University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. From 2014-2017 I completed a clinical ID fellowship at St Jude where I serve as a Transplant Infectious Diseases consultant. My research and clinical interests are focused on community-acquired respiratory viruses in immunocompromised hosts, with emphasis on describing novel modifiable risk factors for poor clinical outcomes.
