Dr Darius Beh is an infectious disease specialist based in Singapore. He currently serves as a Consultant and the Deputy Director of the High-Level Isolation Unit (HLIU) at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID). Dr Beh has experience in managing and guidance development for infectious diseases, particularly those in high-risk and complex environments, such as Mpox.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Beh was actively involved in the global response, notably being deployed to the Pacific Islands with the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN), to provide expertise on infection prevention and case management. He also chairs the High-Level Isolation Unit Training Committee, and contributes to the National Portable Medical Isolation Unit Workgroup, focusing on enhancing Singapore’s capabilities in handling high consequence infectious diseases.
He is a clinician with the Department of Infection Prevention at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and has been involved with the investigation and control of nosocomial outbreaks of multidrug organisms, and the use of quality improvement methodologies aimed at improveing the adherence to infection prevention strategies.
