Chelsea Foo, MPH is a Supervising Epidemiologist for the Vaccine Preventable Disease Control Program at Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. She is also currently a doctoral student in the Department of Epidemiology at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from UCLA. Throughout her career, she has provided data analytic support to numerous outbreak investigations, including a crucial role in establishing case and lab surveillance systems for COVID-19, mpox, and other public health emergencies. Her current research focuses on infectious diseases, with an emphasis on geospatial methods and proactive identification of potential outbreaks.
