Ronda Lenore Cochran is a Behavioral Epidemiologist and the Deputy Team Lead of the Hospital Infection Prevention Team in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. Ronda also is Adjunct Faculty at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. Ronda has been with the CDC for over 25 years where she develops, coordinates, conducts, and directs epidemiologic and behavioral research on the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections.
Ronda received a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She then received a Masters of Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. Ronda is author/co-author of over 100 publications and has been awarded several honors (i.e., Who’s Who; Sigma Xi International Scientific Research Award; Department of Health & Human Services Secretary’s Distinguished Service Award). Ronda also serves on many committees, working groups, and panels and is a member of several professional and honorary societies.
