Epidemiologist I
New York Emerging Infections Program
Julia Tellerman, MPH is an Epidemiologist I in the New York Emerging Infections Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Here, she works on the Multi-site Gram Negative Surveillance Initiative (MuGSI), co-leading the Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL) and invasive E. coli (iEC) surveillance programs. Previously, she received her BS in Applied Mathematics from SUNY Geneseo (’20), and her MPH with a concentration in Epidemiology at the University at Albany School of Public Health (’22). Her research interests surround the epidemiology of community-associated infections caused by organisms typically characterized as healthcare-associated and the role of social determinants of health in healthcare associated infections (HAIs).
