Bianca Torres is a Research Coordinator at the Valley Fever Institute at Kern Medical in Bakersfield, California. Bianca began her career as a high school math and science teacher specializing in one-to-one learning for students requiring alternative educational methods. At the Valley Fever Institute, Bianca supports infectious disease physicians by executing research protocols for observational and clinical trials. She collaborates closely with distinguished infectious disease physicians including Dr. Royce Johnson, Dr. Rasha Kuran and Dr. Carlos D’Assumpcao. Bianca has contributed to the successful completion of two clinical trials and numerous observational studies. The Valley Fever institute is dedicated to advancing research and improving patient care through these initiatives.
Outside of work, Bianca serves as the Secretary of the Kern County Hispanic Chamber Board of Education Foundation. This role highlights her ongoing dedication to enhancing her community and supporting educational opportunities to local business owners and students. Bianca also enjoys traveling, cooking and cherishes spending time with her friends and family, especially her two nieces, Siena and Gianella.
