Kengo Inagaki MD is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and the Director of Pediatric Transplant Infectious Diseases at the University of Michigan. He is also a member of the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation at the University of Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Medicine degree (M.D. equivalent) from Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) in Tokyo, Japan. He completed his pediatric residency at Tsuchiura Kyodo General Hospital (a teaching hospital of TMDU), and Maimonides Medical Center in New York. He then pursued Pediatric Infectious Disease fellowship training at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where he was granted Physician Scientist Training Program fellowship award, and received additional training in molecular virology research. Prior to joining University of Michigan, he was an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson Mississippi. His expertise includes infections in immunocompromised hosts including transplant recipients, and population health science. He serves on the Editorial Board of Pediatrics (both official journals of American Academy of Pediatrics).
