Dr. Amadea Britton currently serves as a Medical Officer at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where she works on the Vaccine Effectiveness and Policy Team in the Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division. She is the Co-Lead of the U.S. Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) Work Group for RSV Vaccines in Adults and has contributed extensively to U.S. RSV vaccine policy development. Dr. Britton is a board-certified physician and completed Internal Medicine/Pediatrics clinical training at Duke University. She also holds a Master of Science from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and is a former CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer.
