Callan Bleick is an accomplished pharmacist and infectious diseases postdoctoral researcher with a focus on combating antimicrobial resistance. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Wayne State University, Callan is deeply involved in cutting-edge translational research, particularly in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics (PK/PD). With a strong foundation in microbiology and immunology, she pursued a Masters in Science (MSc) in Immunology and Microbiology at Wayne State School of Medicine, following her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Rhode Island.
Callan has contributed significantly to the scientific community, co-authoring several peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals. Her research interests include combating antimicrobial resistance, optimizing antibiotic therapies, and exploring the potential of bacteriophage-antibiotic combinations.
