Dr. Shikha Mishra, MD FACP, is a second year Infectious Diease fellow at Kern Medical-UCLA.
Dr. Mishra completed her MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from Assam Medical College in India. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at McLaren Flint.
Dr. Mishra worked as academic hospitalist for 6 years before deciding to pursue fellowship in Infectious disease.
Dr. Mishra is particularly interested in studying the impact of infectious diseases on underserved populations and finding ways to improve access to care. She is in the endemic Coccidioidomycosis area and would love to find better diagnostic and therapeutic options for the patients she cares for.
Dr. Mishra is also interested in management of HIV/AIDS and is very excited about the new therapeutic options and injectable options for both HIV and Pre Exposure prophylaxis.
Dr. Mishra has been actively involved in research and has contributed to several publications and projects presented at major conferences.
