Melat Endashaw is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Resident at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and she received her Doctor of Pharmacy at the Unversity of Georgia. She developed a keen interest for infectious diseases during her third year of pharmacy school, and has plans to pursue a PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Residency in the future. She has a particular interest in vulnerable populations and opportunistic infections. At IDWeek 2024, Melat will be presenting "Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Risk Factors and Outcomes Associated with Candidemia," which is a project she began working on as a fourth year pharmacy student, and has carried on with now as a resident.
