Madeleine "Maddy" Meyer, Ph.D. is the next-generation sequencing laboratory research manager for Dr. Melissa Nolan's Laboratory of Vector-Borne and Zoonotic Diseases at the University of South Carolina's (USC) Arnold School of Public Health and the Institute for Infectious Disease Translational Research. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May, 2017, and her Ph.D. in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of South Carolina in August, 2024. In 2022 she completed her Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Strategic Innovation with USC's Darla Moore School of Business. She was selected as the USC Environmental Health Sciences Department Doctoral Student of the Year for 2024 and was awarded a Thermo Fischer STEM Scholarship as part of the original 2013 scholarship cohort.
