Lyndsay O'Hara is an Assistant Professor and infectious disease epidemiologist at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She received a PhD in Epidemiology, an MPH in Global Health and a postgraduate certificate in Infection Prevention and Control all from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She is a member of the Infection Control team at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Her research interests include : 1) Evaluating strategies and building partnerships to make the healthcare setting safer for both patients and healthcare workers; 2) Preventing the transmission of antimicrobial resistant organisms in the healthcare setting; and 3) Improving epidemiologic methods in the field of infection control and hospital epidemiology.
