Timothy Wilkin, MD MPH is an infectious diseases doctor, Professor of Medicine and Chief of Infectious Diseases and Global Public Health at University of California San Diego. Dr. Wilkin is a clinical trials researcher with a focus on prevention of HPV related cancer in people living with HIV. He receives grant funding from NCI to conduct clinical trials focusing on the use of HPV vaccination in people with HIV, novel HPV immunotherapeutics and prevention of cervical cancer in low- and middle-income countries. He is an active investigator with Advancing Clinical Therapeutics Globally (ACTG) and is the international protocol chair for ACTG A5418/STOMP, a randomized clinical trial of tecovirimat for the treatment of MPox.
