Mark Tenforde MD, PhD, MPH, DTM&H is a current Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He completed his medical training at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and internal medicine training at Johns Hopkins University. After spending a year in Botswana as a University of Washington Global Health Fellow, he completed infectious disease fellowship and a PhD in epidemiology at the University of Washington where he did research on the epidemiology and management of advanced HIV disease in sub-Saharan Africa with a primary focus incryptococcal disease. In 2019, he joined the Influenza Division of CDC.
