I am Dr. Akansha Didwania, an Infectious Diseases resident currently in my 5th year, pursuing my degree from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. My research interests focus on antimicrobial resistance and rapid diagnostic methods, particularly in the context of carbapenemase resistance detection. Throughout my residency, I have developed a keen interest in understanding the complexities of antimicrobial resistance, particularly carbapenem-resistant organisms, which pose a significant threat to global healthcare.In addition to my research, I have gained extensive clinical experience managing complex infectious disease cases, ranging from tropical infections to multi-drug resistant pathogens. I am passionate about contributing to the advancement of infectious disease diagnostics and treatment strategies, aiming to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice.
