Giuseppe Fleres is a Postdoctoral Associate in Microbial Genomics at the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Catania, Italy. In 2022 he obtained a PhD (COFUND - Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions - European Union) in Medical Microbiology at faculty of Medical Microbiology and Infection Prevention, University Groningen, the Netherlands. His PhD research focused on the application of next-generation sequencing technologies to investigate the dissemination of antimicrobial resistance in a One-Health prespective.
