Assoc. Prof Ng Oon Tek is a senior consultant at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases with a joint academic appointment in the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He leads NCID’s Antimicrobial Resistance Coordinating Office (AMRCO). His research interest are in integrating public health, laboratory medicine and clinical medicine to improve patient outcomes. Accordingly his group is currently working on using whole-genome sequencing to uncover the transmission pathways of multi-drug resistant gram-negative bacteria.
