Raymond Chinn, MD is a medical consultant with the Healthcare-associated Infections Program, Epidemiology and Immunizations Services Branch, County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency and is a fellow of the Infectious Disease Society and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA). He is the former Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Clinical Epidemiology at the Sharp Metropolitan Medical Center in San Diego where he continues to consult. Dr. Chinn was a member of the Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee and the California Department of Public Health Healthcare-associated Infections Advisory Committee and was a board member of SHEA and Infectious Disease Association of California and was a member of its Education Committee. His clinical Interests include antimicrobial stewardship, HIV infection, and infections related to cardiac devices and solid organ transplants.
