Alastair Murray, MD, is a pediatric hematology/oncology fellow at the University of Washington. His research interests include viral epidemiology in immunocompromised individuals and hematopoietic stem cell transplants patients, in addition to immune reconstitution following transplant and cellular therapy. He earned his medical degree from George Washington University and completed pediatric residency training at the University of Washington. He has worked in the labs of Dr. Janet Englund and Dr. Helen Chu at the University of Washington and was previously awarded funding through the IDSA Medical Scholar Program to conduct research on viral immunity in mother-infant pairs in vaccinated and unvaccinated populations. His ongoing areas of research include studying applications of RSV monoclonal antibody prophylaxis in the transplant population.
