Emily Hoff, MD is a current second year Infectious Disease fellow at Johns Hopkins. She is originally from Ann Arbor, MI and obtained her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Middlebury College in Vermont. She then attended Yale School of Medicine, where she developed an interest in the overlap of infectious diseases and substance use. She completed her residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas- Southwestern. Prior research projects have focused on HIV prevention & treatment and treatment of complex bacterial infections in people who use drugs with a specific interest in women who use drugs and people involved in the criminal justice system. She is interested in becoming a clinical investigator who develops patient-centered interventions to address the infectious complications of substance use.
