I am currently a PGY-5 infectious disease fellow at USC/Los Angeles General Medical Center. I completed my residency at Kaiser, where I immersed myself in various quality improvement projects and sat on the COVID committee and health systems science committee. I gained a deep appreciation for the way infectious disease permeates all organ systems and specialties in medicine. My passion for infectious disease took root during my undergraduate studies as a microbiology major and I developed a keen interest in how these diseases impact communities on a broad scale. This interest was further fueled by my growing appreciation for public health and policy, highlighting the critical role of infectious disease management in improving community health outcomes. What excited me about infectious disease was how the field was at the intersection of medicine and public health. I am particularly excited about antimicrobial stewardship and its potential to optimize treatment strategies and combat resistance. Looking ahead, I plan to continue practicing general infectious disease, focusing on both stewardship and contributions to public health initiatives.
