Jennifer Makhoul, MD, is a second-year Infectious Diseases fellow in the combined program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) and MD Anderson Cancer Center. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at George Washington University in 2023, and also undertook a fellowship in Health Policy with the Milken Institute School of Public Health in 2022. She earned her medical degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon, where she also conducted 2 years of Internal Medicine training prior to relocating to the United States.
Dr. Makhoul is committed to maintaining ongoing clinical research while pursuing a career in Infectious Diseases, with a particular focus on infections in immunocompromised hosts and surgical complications.
She is a member of IDSA and AMA, and is board-certified in Internal Medicine.
