Dr. Kam Kai-Qian is an Attending in the department of Pediatric Medicine, Infectious Disease Service in KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Singapore. She completed her undergraduate medical education in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She completed the pediatric medicine residency in 2019. From 2017 to 2018, she served as Chief Resident in the Pediatric Medicine residency program. Her research interests include emerging infections, antimicrobial stewardship and health services research. She is an active member of the Hospital Infection Control Committee, the National Antimicrobial Resistance Control Committee, and the National Antimicrobial Stewardship Expert Panel. Dr Kam is a recipient of multiple institutional and national awards for her contribution to public healthcare service.
From 2023 to 2024, she joined the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute and participated in the research study titled "Epidemiology and Outcomes of Broad-Spectrum Antibiotic De-escalation in Patients with Suspected Sepsis in US Hospitals". Advancing her interest in clinical research and public health, Dr. Kam obtained a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in May 2024.
