Student / Research Assistant
Midwestern University
Peoria, AZ, United States
After completing my PharmD at Midwestern University in 2024, I was accepted to the DO program at MWU as a medical student. During my time as a student pharmacist, I joined Dr. Rhodes' research group examining the pharmacokinetics of beta-lactams in various patient settings, such as during lung transplant surgery and in patients with varying degrees of renal dysfunction. My rotations in pharmacy school included infectious diseases, emergency medicine, and oncology, all of which are fields that I find fascinating and may pursue as a physician. As a PharmD training to be a DO, I hope to bring my training in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacology into practice and incorporate into my clinical decisionmaking.
