Dr. Emily Stoneman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Michigan. Her clinical responsibilities include seeing patients with infectious diseases in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr.Stoneman is also an Associate Hospital Epidemiologist in the Department of Infection Prevention and Epidemiology and Medical Director of Occupational Health Services. Dr. Stoneman completed her clinical training at the University of Michigan and worked at New York-Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical College prior to returning to the University of Michigan in 2014 to assume her current roles. Her clinical interests include general infectious diseases and management of exposures to infectious diseases. Her research interests include healthcare-associated infections and immunity to respiratory viruses including COVID-19 and influenza.
