HUB Organoids B.V.
Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands
Alessandra Merenda received her PhD in Genetics from the University of Cambridge (UK), where she started using organoids for the first time in her research to gain mechanistic insights into the Wnt pathway, as part of a Marie Curie training network. This was followed by a postdoctoral position at the University Medical Centre Utrecht (NL), where she modelled genetic diseases in intestinal organoids. After gaining experience in the academic setting, she decided to exploit her knowledge to build innovative drug development platforms and joined HUB Organoids (NL) in 2020, where she currently holds the position of Senior Scientist in the department of Disease and Toxicology Models.
