Medical Student
University of Rochester Medical Center
Rochester, NY, United States
I am a 4th year medical student attending the University of Rochester's MD/PhD program applying into physician scientist training programs and research residencies for the March 2025 match that will train me in internal medicine and infectious disease. I completed my PhD in the lab of Dave Topham elucidating mechanisms of T cell differentiation in respiratory mucosa after respiratory infections in both mouse models and human tissue samples. My clinical research work, with mentorship by Alexandra Yamshchikov, Ted Louie, Jeni Nayak, and Mary Caserta has focused on topics ranging from equity concerns in infectious disease, infectious outcomes in the peri-operative period, and diagnostic efficacy.
My long-term career goals include practicing infectious disease and operating a research laboratory elucidating basic mechanisms of T cell immunity as they relate to vaccination and infection.
