Alyssa Castillo, MD, is an infectious diseases clinician currently working at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency training and a chief residency year at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She subsequently worked in academic hospital medicine before pursuing infectious diseases subspecialty training at the University of Washington (UW). Alyssa joined the University of Colorado faculty in 2022, where she now serves as the Associate Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship. She is passionate about building collaborative relationships with clinicians and supporting them to optimally utilize antimicrobials in their daily practice. Alyssa especially enjoys partnering with stewards serving rural and critical access hospitals, and she recently directed an Intensive Quality Improvement Cohort focused on reducing diagnosis and treatment of asymptomatic bacteriuria through UW's Center for Stewardship in Medicine (CSiM).
