Vera P. Luther, MD is an infectious diseases physician and professor of medicine at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. She enjoys all aspects of medical education and is involved in curriculum design, delivery, and assessment for medical students, residents, and fellows. In addition to serving as the infectious diseases fellowship program director at Wake Forest, she also serves as the medical director for the Center for Antimicrobial Utilization, Stewardship, and Epidemiology (CAUSE). Her scholarly interests involve antimicrobial stewardship, medical education, informatics, and medical decision making. She currently serves as Chair of the IDSA Training Program Director Community of Practice.
